TAKE A LOOK AT OUR FUNDRAISING TICKER!

Basically, we are pretty much there!!!!!! An amazing thing happened. A wonderful person wanted to meet me and said she wanted to give us the rest of the money we needed for our adoption. I was A M A Z E D! How awesome, Lord! Thank you, thank you!

If you are wondering why the ticker isn't at $25,000 yet, it is because some money we are hoping for hasn't officially come through yet, but we are expecting it to. When it does, we will be fully funded! WOW!!!!!!!

I have been praying, "Lord, please let this money come in easily, effortlessly." I don't think I thought he would answer that one so well! :)

We were fingerprinted this morning for USCIS and are hoping for an expedited approval this week or soon. We are hoping to travel to Eastern Europe in the next month or so!!

Here are some pictures of his room. Not quite finished, but you get the picture. :)

As you walk in.

Lots of sunlight!

Nice comfy crib that Emerald never uses!

Lots of books to read and pics to admire!

And a fun car!

Please keep praying for us...Please pray that these final things we have to do would be done very quickly and without snag. Thank you!

prayers

So we are praying for record speed on all of our paper work. Will you join us? Praying for no snags, smooth sailing, continued fundraising, and that the things that are out of our control, like USCIS, would happen so very quickly! Wanna get our little one home!

Please consider donating, either by the Chipin on the right or by check or Paypal. We are so grateful!

Getting everything ready

Today we got our little guys room closer to being ready. We put the crib up and I put on the crib skirt I found him at Goodwill. It is very cute. We moved Emerald's dresser that has been in our closest into his room for them both to share. So far we only have one outfit, a hat, and some sqeaky shoes for him, but clothes are the easiest thing to get! ;) Plus, we don't know his size. We have heard we may get him in a couple months! We are so excited!

May 4th

May 4th was a fun day with lots of time spent driving. :)
I...
...spent hours getting my application and supporting documents ready to send off to USCIS (Dep't of Homeland Security). My sweet daughter actually took a good nap that day! Yay Emerald! ;) lol
...drove all the way to downtown Durham to the Register of the deeds to get a few copies of my birth certificate to send off
...drove to Chapel Hill to get my homestudy
THERE I NOTICED that the birth certificates they gave me had my name spelled wrong! ugh! Poor little Emerald who has been so sweetly (up to this point) waiting and riding around in the back seat!
...drove back to Durham to get corrected birth certificates.
...drove home to Cary
...drove to the post office to overnight (with many prayers) our I600a
...came home.

twas a bit of a stressful day, but it's all worth it when i think of the end goal :)
